What did you try, and did it help?

Every week, people with tinnitus ask the same question: has anyone tried this? The answers get scattered across old forum threads. This page collects them in one place, so patterns can show up for patients and for the doctors who treat them.

It takes about five minutes. You don’t need to give your name, and your email is optional.

Reports where nothing helped matter just as much. Without them, any treatment looks better than it really is.

Physicians: if you have prescribed primidone, or anything else, for a tinnitus patient, your report is especially valuable, whether or not it helped. Choose “I’m a physician” below and report on the patient’s behalf, with no identifying details.
1. About you
Who is filling this out?

“I don’t know” is a perfectly good answer.

2. What was tried
How was it taken?
3. What happened
How loud was the tinnitus before, on a typical day?

0 = silent10 = unbearable

And at its best, while the treatment was working?

0 = silent10 = unbearable

If nothing changed, choose the same number as above.

Side effects (tick any)
Would you try it again?
4. In your own words

Never published, never sold, never added to any list.

Leave this unticked and your report is still counted in the totals, but your own answers and words are never shown.

Thank you. Every report helps.
